# "The Most Famous Artist" Designed Nomadica's Rose Wine Cans
Matty Mo, a.k.a. "The Most Famous Artist," is a Los Angeles-based conceptual artist known for repurposing old paintings and murals. He's also the latest artist to be featured by Nomadica Wine, an all-female owned and operated company, for its new Pink River Rosé limited-edition can. The wine is a blend of Grenache (67%) and Cabernet Franc (33%) from the Santa Ynez Valley in California, made by winemaker Joshua Klapper from Timbre Winery.
Last weekend, Matty Mo celebrated the partnership by painting a large residential property completely pink. We asked him a few questions about his art and feelings about rosé wine in general. Spoiler alert: he really, really loves it.
**What brought about the collaboration with Nomadica Wines?**
I love the canned wine category. I loved the idea that Nomadica aligned their brand with artists and unique winemakers. It was a super-easy and fun process, and now I get to share my art and Nomadica's delicious wine with all of my friends, family, and followers.
**When it gets hot out, do you typically reach for a nice cold glass of rosé?**
I love love love rosé. Hot day or cold day, for me, it's rosé all day, every day.
The Pink House was inspired by a series of "pink rivers" #themostfamousartist overpainted on appropriated thrift store artworks in the past few years — the Pink House project has proven to be our most expensive, most consequential, and largest scale over painted appropriation job yet... and we are just getting started 😉💭♻️

**Tell us about the art on the Pink Rover Rosé cans.**
I've been exploring the concept of art and what constitutes art. For the past few years, In addition to painting large-scale Instagrammable murals and installations, I've been appropriating found objects and painting parts of them pink. The pink river image used on the can was one work from the series that everyone loved, and it's perfect for a rosé label. It just worked.
