A Fyre Festival “experience” popped up in Los Angeles, only to be abruptly “canceled” a la the real Bahamas music fest.
On Wednesday, The Most Famous Artist (aka Matty Mo) and his company SelfieCircus opened a pop-up installation called “The Fyre Experience,” allowing people to take photos behind different backdrops — making it seem like they were at the failed festival.
Some guests took photos in front of a sandy beach wall with a cardboard cutout of Bella Hadid, one of the models who promoted the festival. Others pretended to be flying in a private jet while eating a meal of two slices of bread, cheese and lettuce, which festival-goers infamously Instagrammed while in the Bahamas.

There was a cutout of the festival’s creator, Billy McFarland, who was sentenced to six years in prison, clad in black-and-white stripes. Organizers even went so far as to bring in pigs, like those featured in the promo video splashing around with models.
Following the popular Netflix documentary “Fyre,” the pop-up poked fun at one of the documentary subjects, organizer Andy King, who went viral for saying he was prepared to “suck d–k” to make sure the Evian water they ordered made it to the festival.
An Instagram model was photographed sitting in a pool of Evian water bottles donning a bathing suit that reads, “will suck d–k for evian water.”
The grand finale seemed to be when someone dressed a baby up like Ja Rule, who denied any involvement in the festival despite being McFarland’s business partner, and put him on a fake private jet.
“@ruleyorkcity finally showed up at #thefyreexperience,” the installation’s creator wrote alongside the photo.
But in true Fyre Festival fashion, the entire thing collapsed by Thursday.
The Insider reported the experience would be open until Feb. 3, but Matty Mo announced on Thursday, “Due to forces outside of our control #thefyreexperience has been canceled. No one will be issued a refund. I’ve already left the country. See ya next time.”
It appears the cancellation was also part of the hoax, although when asked if it was part of the “art concept,” Matty Mo replied on his Instagram story, “Let’s let the reader decide.”
